The Strangers

So tonight I'm going with one of my lady friends to checkout The Strangers. I did a little research because it says in the previews it is based off of true events and the events took place February 11, 2005, only 2 years ago!!! Anyway, I'm going to go check it out later tonight and give you the verdict. (._.)

Guitar Hero 4

Being a college student or even someone who just likes video games, there is no way you could have passed up playing Guitar Hero at least once this year. After the games third addition, Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, the franchise became one of the most well-known and addicting games in the past year in houses all across the U.S. Now game developer Activision is bringing in Guitar Hero: World Tour. Originally named Guitar Hero 4, this new installment will take note from it's rival, Rock Band and include a wireless drum set and microphone. This time around players will make up a five person band and each member of the band can be customized. There will also be an online component where there will be a battle of the bands option where a 5 on 5 competition between bands will take place. Like before, new songs will be able to be purchased over an online market. I can't wait, this game will be in almost all college dorms and parties near you. The game is set to be released in Fall 2008 for Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, and PS2. (._.)

Dropping the....trophy!!!

Well I'm not a big hockey fan but I saw this clip on the morning news and had to put it up. Recently the Spokane Chiefs won the Canadian Memorial Cup.....and DROPPED it! The crowd and the players were speechless and I was rolling on the ground laughing. Luckily for these guys it wasn't the real trophy, just a replication of the real one for ceremonial purposes. Verdict: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

So I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull last Thursday with my friend at a midnight showing and it was a good movie. Now as far as the previous Indy movies the new installment doesn't even compare, those are just classics, but this new one does the franchise justice and gives it a bit of revival for a younger generation. The story revolves around a mysterious crystal skull, which is linked to an ancient civilization who can offer unknown power to whoever returns the skull back to them. Anyway, contrary to what I first thought, Harrison Ford did a great job in this movie as well as Shia LeBeouf. The action is great, there is some comedy, and the special effects are awesome, I mean what do you expect from a Spieldberg/Lucas film? If you're an Indy fan or you just like good movies go check this one out, it's well worth.....ha yes an $11 ticket. (4/5*'s) (._.)
