Excuse the pun, but really just looking at this thing makes me ask what is wrong with the world. What do we need with a 2,716 ft, 160 story tower, a world record? Can't wait to see the world record for tallest building being demolished cause there wasn't enough money in Dubai to keep it afloat. Anyway, the Burj, which started construction in 2004 is an engineering marvel. It was unveiled January 4, 2010 although construction was completed in October.
