Obama gives speech at Democratic Convention in Denver

It's like every time I hear Obama it's history in the making. It's just an unbelievable time right now in politics, we're moving in a new direction, which looks like finally the right direction. Anyway Barack Obama gave a speech at the 08 Democratic Convention in Denver to conclude the convention and he went out in a big way. The speech comes in the wake of the MLK "I have a dream" speech, a 45 year anniversary. In his speech, Obama addressed what his definition of change was, he stated that George Bush had failed, and he addressed John McCain head on. The speech was awesome to put things lightly. Well it is official, my last day at the Wild Animal Park as a photographer was Tuesday. It was a lot of fun and I will miss everyone there. Well the summer has pretty much come to an end and it has been a busy summer at that. These past couple of weeks I've been working like crazy, hence the lack of blog posts. Rest assured, I've been busy doing other things than work. My last day at the Wild Animal Park is this Tuesday, so I'm really excited. After that it'll be time to get ready to move back up to Long Beach!!! When I go back to school I will definitely have more time to update the site and keep everyone up to date. The San Diego Chargers came out to play in their preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys, defeating them 31-17. Just a taste of things to come during the regular season. Next preseason match-up will be at San Francisco against the 49ers on August 29th. (._.)

Lake Arrowhead Trip!

Last week I went up to Lake Arrowhead with my family on a fishing trip. Arrowhead is about 25 miles south of Big Bear Lake and is a nice little quiet community. I ended up catching 2 catfish the entire trip, which was pretty good considering we only fished once out of 4 days. We also brought some Sea Doos to the lake and had some fun. I scared my mom half to death but I think in the end she had fun. Overall it was a great trip, definitely helped me get away from all those days of work and everything else going on back home. (._.)

2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony...AMAZING!!!

If you didn't catch it last night the Olympics kicked off with the opening ceremony followed by the lighting of the torch in Beijing. It was one of the best performances I have seen at any event ever. The performers, the huge LCD floor screen, and the million fireworks finale was just too cool. (._.)

I can't believe this, Bernie Mac died today at the age of 50. He died from pneumonia complications. Life is too short. (._.)
