A Year and a Day

T. I. was sentenced to a year and a day in prison yesterday for trying to purchase unregistered weapons in 2007. This is really good news for him considering he could have served up to ten years in prison. The slack was given due to the immense community service and public speaking T.I. has done over the last year, which can be seen on MTV. In case you didn't already know T.I. was sentenced to a year AND a day so he would be eligible for early release with good behavior. (year sentence you have to serve the entire thing.) Haha I didn't think I was going to write this much about this but this entire case has given me a new perspective not only on T.I. but people in general and how they can change. When T.I. came out I had no respect for him or his music and thought he was just another guy from the streets trying to rap. Now he has completely changed, I mean look at his music, he went from "Rubberband Man" to songs like "Dead & Gone" and "Live Your Life." The writing is on the walls and T.I. is a better man for it.
