New Sidekick
Yes, as if there weren't already enough, T mobile just released a new model of their popular communication device, simply named "Sidekick." Being a current Sidekick ID owner I received a text message from T mobile to check it out at www.sidekick.com. The new model has a new sleek shell which can be customized, there is now video recording and playback along with the mp3 player and 2 mega pixel camera. The web browser has also been overhauled to allow computer like surfing over the internet. Looks cool, nice new features but I still think I want that iPhone. (._.)

Comic Con 2008
Comic Con International at the San Diego Convention Center this year was amazing. I went on the opening day and as usual it was packed. This year, all general admission and passes were done online, so there were no long lines to buy tickets. After everyone checked in and received their lanyard it was off to the races. If you have ever been to Comic Con before, you know you can find any kind of fan boy or nerd there and surprisingly a lot of them are beautiful girls! Each year hundreds of guests come dressed in homemade costumes portraying as their favorite characters from comics to movies and beyond. I think the best thing about the convention is you never know what will happen. Breaking movies news, exclusive collectible items, video games, you name it and it is there. Dozens of well - known celebrities walk around the exhibits side by side with some of their biggest fans like they're an everyday person, it's truly exciting. Walking into the convention you will always walk out with a huge bag of swag. This year I left with a bunch of stuff including a huge "Saw IV" poster, a free spiderman light keychain, a professional artist pen, t shirts, comics, and so much more. I even got a custom drawing done by the guys from explosm.net, I'll post that later. While I was there I got to play the new "Street Fighter IV" game at the Capcom booth and picked up a limited edition Street Fighter Shadaloo fitted cap. I was also interviewed by the local San Diego resource channel it will be airing in August, so I'll have that for you guys as well. This year was great and I can't wait for next year and I suggest for all those who are curious and are into movies, comics, video games, or television should check online and get ready for next year's show. Ice Skating in the summer.
So I went ice skating with my friends Lissette and Robin last Wednesday and it was a lot of fun. It had been about 12 years since I had last skated, but I wasn't afraid to hit the ice. That doesn't mean I didn't literally hit the ice...yeah it hurt. Thanks for the memories.....and aching body. (._.)

New Threads
So I went to Comic Con last week and picked up this limited edition Trimuvir x Street Fighter fitted cap. It is so sick!!! Anyone who is a fan of Street Fighter knows what's up, the hat has M. Bison Shadaloo symbol on the front and on the back the Shadaloo bolt. The cap comes together perfectly with a bright red body, yellow symbols, and a blue bill. Ha, who said Comic Con was just a bunch of comics? (._.)

Mariah Carey @ the Wild Animal Park!
Usually I could care less about celebrity tabloids or gossip, (Perez Hilton) but Mariah Carey aka Mrs. Cannon went to the Wild Animal Park, where I work. Now I didn't see her but she was escorted through the park and was given her own private caravan to feed some wild animals in one of our exihibits. Working in the photography department I usually take pictures on those caravans but she had her own private photographers...bummer. (._.)
Burning the Box Office
It was pretty obvious from the moment online and pres sale tickets sold for the Dark Knight that the movie was destined to break box office records. Over the July weekend, the dark Knight raked in $155 million, beating out the previous record holder, Spiderman 3 which made $151 million its opening weekend. This movie is just too good. (._.)

Verdict: Batman...Incredible!
I saw the Dark Knight this morning at 12:00 AM and four hours later I am still amped up over this movie. By far this is the best movie of the summer, no other movie can hold a candle to it. With record sales in presale and online tickets, the Dark Knight obviously made an impression way before it even hit the big screen. In the movie Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) aka Batman returns to the streets of Gotham where things have cleaned up since his first outing. Unfortunately for him and the city, the Joker (Heath Ledger) is looking to stir things up quite a bit. There are no words to describe what a great job Heath Ledger did playing the Joker. From the very moment the Joker enters the movie, you can't get enough of him, he is just an engrossing character. Laughter, body language, even his since of style is something to take note of, I had fanboys and girls at my premiere dressed in full costumes with clown make up and all. What surprised me about this movie was how dark it was, no pun intended. This movie really takes you on a roller coaster ride, I found myself jumping out of my seat, scared for helpless victims, and caught in supense more times than I care to remember...it's awesome. The action and special effects are superb, nothing less that what you would expect from a movie of this nature. Explosions, flying, glass breaking, expensive sports cars, hot models, you name it, everything is there for a great movie experience. While watching the movie there was a sense of excitement and sadness, well at least for me when it came to Ledgers role in the movie. I was so entranced with the Joker and I didn't want him to stop but yet in the back of my head I knew that one way or another, this could not last forever. When the next Batman movie comes out, which seems obvious with the immediate success of this one, no one better dare try to take the role of Joker, as far as I'm concerned there is no one who can do it better than Ledger. Without a doubt, this is not only a movie for the summer but a piece of work that should be seen by all those who love movies and want to be entertained. Among many duds, the Dark Knight is a true gem, which reminds us what a great movie actually looks like. (5/5 *s) (._.)
P.S. I made my own shirt for the premiere!

Mirror's Edge E3 Trailer
If you don't already know I'm a huge video game fanatic and I play games all the time up in college and at home. This is the first time in a long time that I have been excited for a video game. The days of side scrolling 2D games is long gone and this game right here looks like it is about to set a new standard for what is expected from our games. (._.)
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Wow, this is crazy, I can't believe they are already filming this movie. I can't wait though, after all these years of living in the past we'll finally get to see what John Connor is up against in the future. Finally, John Connor is portrayed by a good actor, Christian Bale. Just got to hold out til 09. (._.)
