New iPhone!

Well in true Apple fashion, starting July 11th the company will release the next generation of iPhone, "iPhone 3G." The announcement was made today in San Francisco at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. The new iPhone will sport a faster network, loading web pages on its browser at broadband speeds, opposed to the slower speeds of the AT&T EDGE network, which is currently used by the present iPhone. Trying to appeal to the corporate user, the iPhone will now be capable of utilizing and running Microsoft Exchange, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. These additions hope to bring the iPhone into the business place and hopefully make it possible to compete and dethrone the current business cell phone king, Blackberry. Along with these new programs, the iPhone will come with new powerful hardware that will be capable of running multimedia programs including games and even musical composition programs. There will also be a new enhanced GPS feature that can pinpoint a users exact location and even give turn by turn directions at anytime. All these enhancements are found in the new "iPhone 2.0" update which can be downloaded now for current iPhone users. What is more exciting is there is a significant price drop, the 8GB phone will be $199, while the 16GB will be $299. The 8GB model will retain the black casing but the 16GB model will have the option of coming either in the tradition black case or a new white case. With 5.5 million iPhones already sold since last year in the U.S. will this move put the phone in more peoples hands by the end of the year? Well here's hoping that there is one in my hand by the end of 08'. (._.)
